Three Easy Templates in Creating Content

  • ŸList Post -this is a popular type that gives an easy way to write and manage more types of topics, content and articles. When creating a list post it needs to be a collection of different articles of content with the same overall theme. This list will have the title and the hyper link attached will take the reader to the content.
  • Link Round Ups – this technique is used by linking content from other resourceful websites instead of writing an entire post of your own content. Insert links that are interesting and is on the topic you are blogging about. Always make sure to give the correct credit to the author of the article you are linking to.
  • Quick Interview - This method is simply interviewing another person that has experience and knowledge in a topic you want to discuss with your readers. This not only is a great way for the person being interviewed receive great exposure but most likely your blog will gain exposure by their following since they will more than likely share that they were recently interviewed.

Steps on Writing an Engaging Successful Blog

Before writing the blog article you need to understand the audience and what they might want to know on the topic that is being written. Then introduce the topic and necessary background information to the reader. This makes the reader aware and normally makes them curious to read further. Then build in detail on the topic just enough that it keeps the reader interested.

You then convenience your reader of the topic you are writing about. At that time you will begin with an ended conclusion. This method works because it is what readers want. Readers want to be eased into what is going to happen, have reason to keep reading, begin to feel tension this creates curiosity and they brought back down with their curiosity stratified.

  1. Hi Kyle,

Excellent and thorough advice on writing a blog post. I do follow the same formula as you mentioned above.

As for your call to action: I am passionate about the subject of my blog and always am inspired. Sometimes it comes from a comment someone mentions on a post. That can be a whole other blog post that I can write.

Sometimes I take a course and want to share information with my readers and I do so. It can be in one blog post or a series. Usually in a series, people like to come back I’ve noticed.

Then, my little secret is to keep a notepad on my desktop, and when something inspires me, or I learn something new..I will write a few lines to remember it and go back to it and viola…another post is born.

  2. Hi Kyle,

Excellent advice and ideas for content. There are so many ways to come up with content if you just think about it. I used to have problems but I just started paying attention to what I do in a normal day. Sometimes what I do and take for granted would be useful to others.

    Hi Kyle,

Excellent advice and tips for writing guest posts. I am impressed with the three main post types you suggested because I know I get a lot more traffic when I write list posts (in my own personal experience) and that is on top of your list as well.

I used to have problems initially in coming up with a blogging topic. But then, I just started paying attention to what I do in a normal day and topics kept coming.

Thanks for sharing these awesome tips and wish you all the success.

  4. Kyle,

Thanks for suggesting those simple ways to create blog posts. I have never created a links post and I have not done an actual interview post. I do interview people on my radio show but when I write about the interview it is more in a biographical style rather than an interview.
I will be implementing what you suggested soon.

  5. Hi, Kyle! Thanks for an inspiring post! List posts and an interview post are great ideas, and I’ve got some ideas now on future posts.

One thing – maybe it was just me, but it was difficult for me to see your link for “how often you should be updating your blog”. I found it by hovering over it in hopes there was a link.

    Thanks again!

  6. While I love everything, you have proposed to us and your readers. Please, let me speak simple. We have a thing with over analyzing things.

As you tell a good friend at a outing. The stores that seem to make people interested and laughing. They are stories taken from all your life’s experiences. Those are the same stories you share weekly. Just write as you speak.

Heck, I speak out loud all my life while writing my articles. We will never run out of stories that inspire, edify and make people relax. That is sharing yourself. This is the blog that gives real content that is usable.

Think not over analyse. That is the coolest way to do this thing about interactivity on our blogs. Hey, without it we are dead.

Thanks Kyle, you are one guy that I am so happy to hear from. You tell it like it is. That is enjoyable enough.
