  2. I must admit I’ve yet to give infographics a try – my niche is personal growth so it’s not an easy fit. Still as a reader while I have seen some really great infographics, so many of them are so small and don’t provide the option to enlarge which basically renders them worthless. I do appreciate the tools references though and think I’ll take a closer look at the options. Thanks!

  9. Thanks for this very informational article. I agree with you that infographics make content clearer. Personally, I find them very helpful as I’m a very visual person. I’ve also always wanted to try making them for my own blog, but have never given it a try because I didn’t know how to do it. However, now that you provided us with three great resources, I’m going to definitely check them out and give my hand at making some! Thanks again.

  10. Hi Kyle,

I’ve given infogr.am a go before and quite like it. However, I do find these template based infographic generators can be a bit samey after a time. The hand crafted ones created by people proficient in software such as photoshop look miles better, mostly because you know that someone thoughtfully constructed these specifically for their purpose. On the other hand, I like the services provided by the generic sites and if anybody wanted to give it a try, that would be a good place to start.

I must be in a minority of folks who don’t care for infographics. My linear mind would rather read a few sentences so I get it (“it” being the information) quickly and easily. The infographics usually contain good information, but I always think to myself, why did they make me work so hard to get the information?
